A Seasonal Portrait of the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve

I began this series last fall, participating in the weekly bird walks at the Preserve. As we walked a similar path each week, I photographed the changes of texture and color in the landscape over the course of the season. The bright golds of fall gave way to the rich browns and copper notes of winter and finally to the lush greens of spring. The
look of these photographs was inspired by the European landscape painters of the 17th and 18th Century.
